Image Cropper lets you cut any region out of a picture with a drag selection, then export a clean cropped image. Choose a preset aspect ratio for common targets β 1:1 for Instagram posts, 4:5 for Instagram portraits, 16:9 for YouTube thumbnails and banners, 9:16 for stories and reels, 4:3 and 3:2 for classic photos β or free-crop an arbitrary rectangle. A circle mode trims the result into a round image for avatars and profile pictures. You can drag to position the selection, resize it from the corner, and lock the ratio while cropping. Export as PNG, JPEG, WebP, or AVIF. Everything runs locally in your browser β your image is never uploaded.

Can I crop an image into a circle?

How do I move or resize the selection?
Drag inside the selection box to move it. Drag the corner handle to resize. When a preset ratio is locked, resizing keeps that ratio.
What image formats can I export?
PNG, JPEG, WebP, and AVIF. PNG preserves transparency for circle crops; JPEG, WebP, and AVIF give smaller files with adjustable quality.
Why do circle crops need PNG?
Only PNG supports transparency. A circular crop has transparent corners, so PNG keeps them transparent. JPEG has no transparency, so the corners are filled with white instead.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
